「インド高速鉄道実現に向けたプロジェクト」の一環として行われた、インド人運転士の講習において、（一社）新潟県通訳翻訳協会（NAT）は、新潟駅新幹線運輸区にて、約5か月間にわたり現場通訳を担当させていただきました。 期間中は、15名の通訳者がチームとなり、講習の円滑な進行をサポートしました。
この講習の様子は、テレ東BIZのYouTubeチャンネルでも紹介され、現在多くの方にご覧いただいています。 日本とインドを結ぶ大きなプロジェクトに、通訳という立場で関わることができたことを、協会として大変うれしく、また誇りに感じています。
専門用語が多く、決して簡単な現場ではありませんでしたが、通訳メンバー同士が日々連携し、助け合いながら研修期間を乗り切ることができました。 研修最終日に行われた、インドからの訓練生の皆さんとJRの教育指導官の皆様とのお別れ会は、笑顔と熱意にあふれ、心に残るひとときとなりました。

As part of the Indian High-Speed Rail Project, the Niigata Association of Interpreters and Translators (NAT) provided on-site interpretation for the Indian driver training at the Niigata Station Shinkansen center for about five months. During this time, a team of 15 interpreters worked together to support the smooth progress of the training.
This story was featured on the "TV Tokyo BIZ" YouTube channel and is currently being watched by many people. We are very happy and proud to have been involved in this major project connecting Japan and India.
It was a challenging environment with many technical terms, but our interpreters supported each other every day to complete the mission. The farewell party with the trainees and JR instructors on the final day was full of smiles and enthusiasm—a truly memorable moment.
